About
Intelligence Age Gulf is an independent, bilingual guide to AI in the Gulf, in Arabic and English. It helps people understand AI calmly and accurately, hear every serious view fairly, and use AI with confidence.
What this site is
It is a knowledge base, not a blog. We explain what AI is, what is happening with it in the Gulf, and what it may mean for daily life and work.
We report what has been announced, what is operating, and what is still uncertain, and we keep those three apart. Our public tracker shows how big claims and targets are progressing, with dated evidence.
What it is not
- Not a promotional outlet. We do not repeat superlatives such as "world's first" in our own voice. We say who made the claim.
- Not an alarm bell. We do not use fear for effect. When a risk is real, we say so plainly and explain what is being done about it.
- Not a forecaster. We do not claim that far more capable AI will arrive on a particular date, or that every announcement will be delivered.
Who it is for
People who live and work in the Gulf, and anyone who wants to understand AI here. Most of our readers are not AI specialists, and some feel uneasy about it. We assume no jargon and explain every technical term the first time it appears.
- Citizens and residents asking what AI means for their family and their work.
- Parents, teachers and students.
- Businesses, large and small, that want to adopt AI without wasting money.
- Policymakers, journalists and investors who want to know what is real.
Calm and plain
Calm is a method, not a mood. We do not raise the temperature with alarm or hype. We lower it by being clear, specific and honest about what is known and what is not.
Reassurance has to be earned. We never tell people not to worry without showing them why.
Every serious view gets a fair hearing. Optimists, safety researchers, sceptics and critics are described in terms they would recognise.
Arabic and English
The site is published in Arabic and English. Arabic is written for Arabic readers in Modern Standard Arabic, not translated word for word. Pages go live as pairs, so both languages say the same thing, with the same figures and sources.
Native Arabic review is still being set up, so some Arabic wording may be refined. See how we produce both languages.
Independence
Editorial decisions are ours alone. No sponsor or outside party has a say over what we publish, or over the status of any claim in our tracker.
How the project will be funded has not been decided yet. When it is, our funding and any conflicts of interest will be published on this site.
Who is behind it
The project was started in Dubai. Its legal form, the names of the founding team and any advisory panel will be published here once they are confirmed.
To get in touch, see Contact. To see how we check what we publish, read How we work.
