Abu Dhabi health company M42 launched Ossi, an AI platform for doctors and other clinicians, at the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit on 22 October 2026. M42 said Ossi is already in use at seven of its facilities in the UAE and Bahrain: Amana in both countries, Healthpoint, HealthPlus, Mubadala Health Dubai, Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital and Imperial College London Diabetes Centre.
Ossi starts with four AI agents. One listens to a consultation and drafts the clinical note; one summarises the patient’s electronic medical record; one answers clinical questions and prepares patient-education material; and one suggests medical codes. M42 said drafts go to the clinician for review, and that the physician reviews and approves documentation before anything enters the medical record. The platform is built on Microsoft Azure and connects to existing hospital systems through the HL7 and FHIR data standards.
Why it matters: M42 presents Ossi as a way to improve communication between clinicians and patients by taking on documentation work, while the doctor stays responsible for what is recorded.
What to watch: M42 called these four agents the first in an expanding set. Useful questions for patients are how they are told when a consultation is being transcribed, and how recordings and notes are stored.
