Dubai has launched Generation DubAI (GenDubAI), a free website that helps parents guide their children’s use of AI. It was announced on 14 October 2026 by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence and the Dubai Future Foundation, in partnership with the Community Development Authority.

The site is in Arabic and English and is designed for use on a phone. It offers short guides, family activities and safety advice for everyday situations, such as children using AI for homework or creative projects, turning to AI for personal advice, or creating or sharing a fake image of a real person. No account is needed to browse it. The site describes itself as a pilot and says future releases will be shaped by what parents tell its team. The site says it was developed for parents and caregivers of children aged 8 to 15 in the UAE.

Khalfan Belhoul, chief executive of the Dubai Future Foundation, said knowledge of safe and responsible AI use “is one of the greatest gifts parents can give”.

Why it matters: it gives parents in Dubai a free, bilingual starting point for conversations about AI at home. It was launched for the UAE’s Year of the Family 2026.

What to watch: how the pilot develops, and whether schools point families towards it. The site is at gen.dub.ai.
